Arrival by Public Transport

Ludwigsburg can be reached from Stuttgart in just 12 minutes via the S-Bahn lines S4 (direction Marbach – Backnang) and S5 (direction Bietigheim). In addition, regional trains on the lines Stuttgart – Heilbronn – Würzburg and Stuttgart – Karlsruhe also stop at Ludwigsburg station. The walking distance from Ludwigsburg station to the Forum am Schlosspark is 700 meters, which takes about 10 minutes on foot. Bus line 421 connects Ludwigsburg station (bus platform 6) with the Forum am Schlosspark (stop “Agentur für Arbeit”) in about 4 minutes.

Arrival by Car

Ludwigsburg is connected to the A81 motorway via two exits. If you are coming from Munich, use the Ludwigsburg Süd exit; if you are coming from Würzburg/Heilbronn, use the Ludwigsburg Nord exit. From Stuttgart and Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg can be reached via federal road B27. The route to the city center is signposted.

Parking

700 parking spaces are available at the Bärenwiese parking lot opposite the Forum am Schlosspark and on the surrounding streets. The Akademiehofgarage and Rathausgarage parking garages are located nearby on Mathildenstraße.

Stuttgart Airport

Ludwigsburg is about 30 kilometers from Stuttgart Airport. Take the S-Bahn lines S2 or S3 to Stuttgart main station, then continue with S4 or S5 to Ludwigsburg.
