With over 1,200 participants and 57 exhibitors from 23 countries, and a high-level conference program featuring leading OEMs from BMW to Volvo, the Automotive Ethernet Congress 2026 once again proved its role as a key industry gathering.

At the center of discussions was the need to rebalance the “magic triangle” of economic factors, technological innovation, and standardization—especially under increasing competitive pressure from China. Key takeaways included a stronger focus on core competencies, consistent application of established standards, and a more active approach to open-source development.

In addition, numerous presentations and live demonstrations highlighted that topics such as service-oriented architectures, security, and particularly optical Ethernet are reaching maturity and may soon see broader adoption.
