At the center of discussions was the need to rebalance the “magic triangle” of economic factors, technological innovation, and standardization—especially under increasing competitive pressure from China. Key takeaways included a stronger focus on core competencies, consistent application of established standards, and a more active approach to open-source development.
In addition, numerous presentations and live demonstrations highlighted that topics such as service-oriented architectures, security, and particularly optical Ethernet are reaching maturity and may soon see broader adoption.
